Things They Are A Changing!

In case you couldn't tell; things are really changing!

I had a lot of down time today with a sick little kiddo in the house and while I mostly sat around on the couch next to him I worked on my blog-- A Lot!

I have changed a few design pieces and while I don't LOVE it just yet it is something I'm going to keep working on as I get a few moments here and there until I have a design that I just love and am truly proud of.

I'm getting into coding and learning as I go so please be patient with me.  The final "this is it! My blog is done" day may be a good long time in the making so I hope you all bear with me while I keep plugging away a bit at a time.  Making small changes here and there.

Today's biggest change was bringing over all my crafting posts.

I did figure out how to merge both of my blogs into one so I brought over all my crafting pages and posts and I hope you all enjoy them just as much as my usual content.

I am trying to add more of "me" into my blog.

While this is first and foremost a homeschooling blog I also have lots of ideas of other things I really want to start to writing about and incorporating.

I already blog a bit about myself here and there (usually with my 52 lists project), sometimes I include recipes or home organization tips and I often think that I'd like to include more of those types of things; appeal to a broader audience.

I will never forget that I started out with the goal of documenting our homeschooling journey and I promise to still bring you lots of great homeschooling ideas, information, and support but I'll be sprinkling in some ideas about homemaking, parenting, crafting, and life too.

So tell me; what do you all think?!

I know it's not perfect- I still have a few glitches to work out.  I noticed that if I click on any links from my crafting pages (either where I linked up with linky parties or from Pinterest) they only bring me to the Unschooling Journey's homepage; which I don't want.  But I'm working on it.  I know there has got to be a way and I WILL figure it out.

Do you like the changes so far?

I'm trying to lighten the blog up, make it more cohesive, and bring a bit more uniformity to my main page.

  1. I love the blues and greens, actually your new color scheme is a lot like one I'm planning for my blog. Great job merging two blogs! I moved from Blogspot to self hosted Wordpress years ago and never got my blogger posts migrated over.

Thanks for sharing with Small Victories Sunday Linkup. Pinning to our linkup board and hope you found some great posts to visit this week!

  2. I don't think we ever reach the point where we can say "the blog is done!" I guess progress, not perfection is the goal for me. Best wishes and blessings, Janet
