10 on the 10th on the 11th of September; 2024

Yesterday was the 10th and, once again, Marsha kindly hosted a 10 on the 10th link up with some fun This or That questions.

1. While my life is a good mix of both of these if given a choice of only one I'd rather have a long term meaningful relationship with someone I see once a month.  In fact I think that describes many of my friendships with friends I had before kids-- since we're all so busy raising ours we really only get together once a year or even every other year at this point.

2. A bouquet of fresh flowers every week!

3. A luxury all expense paid cruise to the Antarctic (though I don't know that I'd be getting off the ship!). I really enjoyed the two cruises we've been on.

4. Pumpkin spice nothing-- while I do like pumpkin spice it's not my favorite flavor and I know I'd get sick of it in no time.

I've been enjoying this tea the last couple of days; trying to fend off a sore throat

5. Warm sunny days with high humidity; even though I don't like the humidity I really don't like the cold!

6. While I really don't like any fur at all I guess out of these two choices I'd pick the faux fur.

7. The car I currently drive; I LOVE my car!

8. I don't really wear sneakers but I have never ever worn stilettos (I struggle enough with chunky high heels!) so I'd have to say sneakers that have been molded to my feet.

9. A small cottage I can paint in colors of my choice! I love painting and decorating and making cute cozy spaces.

10. I think I'd pick foods I've never tried because if I had to eat my favorite food every day for a year it would not longer be my favorite food (plus most of my real favorite foods are not healthy enough to eat every day!).

  1. I think that I agree with you on every one of these. I would be curious to see if anyone would choose the stilettos. My feet hurt just thinking about walking in them!

    1. Right?! I don't even think I have ever tried a pair on. I truly have never worn real high heels my shoes have to have a nice chunky heel for me to even think about walking in them.

  2. Yes I agree with you on most of these. You know what I found so surprising? That you don't wear sneakers? You exercise so much! I am guessing you wear hiking shoes? :)

    1. I wear sneakers at the gym since they are required and I wear hiking shoes while hiking/walking BUT I change my shoes when we get there often wearing my flip flops (or loafers if it's cold/snowy) right up until the last minute and then I change back before heading home. If I'm exercising at home in the house I tend to go barefoot or exercise in my slippers.

  3. I loved all of your answers! The only one I felt different about was the one about the high humidity and heat...though if all I had was cold weather, I would definitely long for the warmth of a humid day. I love all of your reading pictures!

  4. I am with you on several of these! I love the idea of a small cottage in colors that I love. Bigger isn't always better.

    1. I'm just at that point where I am ready to downsize and not have to keep such a large house clean anymore! LOL. Of course since all the boys still live at home it's going to have wait at least a few more years... but I am definitely dreaming of small 2 bedroom cottages!

  5. These questions were fun to think about!

  6. I haven't worn heels in ages! I have some other weddings coming up I likely will wear them to!

  7. This is so much fun! We were the same except for the cruise and the humidity. ❤️

    1. I think the humidity was a deal breaker for most people! LOL

  8. Fresh flowers...yay! Anytime reading...yay! Have a great day!

  9. I'm with you on almost all of these, although I do love a pair of really high heels : ) I am pumpkin nothing for sure. That's not a flavor I like. I would like to see Antarctica and know a few people who've been via cruise. If you go on youtube and watch some of the video of the passage you will see some crazy rough waters which would not be for me. I'd have to pick the beach bungalow off the beaten path. Fresh flowers make any day better!

    1. Yeah, I read that about the crazy rough waters on someone else's page and I'm not sure I could handle that. While I've never been seasick I wouldn't want to risk it (nor would I want to be on a boat where everyone else is feeling sick either!).

It's funny you say you don't like the cold...especially where you live, haha.
But eating the same thing all year long would be torture, right??

    1. Absolutely! I love a wide variety in my diet.

  12. I think a lot of our answers were the same, but I'd definitely do without the humidity! Another person said there are 17 foot waves on a cruise to the Antarctic so maybe I'd rethink that one, but I'd still love to see the penguins! Thanks, Joanne, for playing along!

  13. I'm kind of surprised that so few of us are opting for the beach and choosing the chilly cruise instead! Maybe we could all go together?! Have agreat week!

  14. What great questions and answers.
I think I would have gone with the Antarctica cruise too but I would be staying in the warm. hehehe

    1. Thank you! I definitely do not like the cold... but I might get off of the boat long enough to go see some penguins. Maybe..

  16. Fun answers to thoughtful questions. The bouquet-bush question was a tough choice for me. But we struggle so with having pretty, blooming bushes in our yard that I would have to go with that. Same with the Antarctic cruise or beach cabin. Generally, I would go with beach but I am thrilled that we are going on an Alaskan cruise this coming spring. It will be my first cruise. Just hope it won't be too cold.

I see you are reading Hildebrand in one of the photos. Have you watched Perfect Couple on TV? Crazy!!

    1. We did watch The Perfect Couple! I remembered reading that book years ago but I couldn't remember any of the details so it was a fun watch. I hope you have a fabulous time on your Alaskan cruise. My mother in law went on one back when I was pregnant with my oldest (we were SO bummed we couldn't join them since their trip was much too close to my due date) and they had a wonderful time.
