Cranberry BBQ Pulled Pork

My husband and sons just LOVE pulled pork.  I'm not a huge fan but I'm game to make a meal that everyone willingly eats.  Over the past year I think we've made pulled pork almost once a month and I like to mix it up and try out "different" recipes.

For our pulled pork I like to use pork tenderloin since it's a leaner cut of meat.  I was afraid it wouldn't pull well since it's not as fatty as a pork butt but with our meat claws I had no problems at all.

Combining just 4 ingredients it was so easy!

Ingredients:

pork tenderloin (we always cook 2!)

1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce

1-2 Tablespoons dried minced onion

I gathered all my ingredients, put everything into our large crock pot and set it on low for the entire day.

When I lifted off the lid at dinnertime it looked like this:

I pulled out the tenderloins and shredded them.  Then added in scoops of the juices until I had a consistency I liked.   My boys noticed the cranberries but didn't bother picking them out.  I think it gave a nice added flavor kick now and then.

We served the pork over rice with a side of vegetables.

I love quick and simple meals like this!

Have you ever tried combining pork and cranberry?
