Currently.. July 2021

Today I am linking up with Anne for another Currently series!  As we say goodbye to June and hello to July we are looking at what we're currently eating, feeling, going, ordering, and realizing.

eating-- All the seafood!  Just in these past few weeks alone we made clam chowder and homemade clam cakes, scallops, and shrimp carbonara.  We ate even more chowder over the 4th of July last weekend.

feeling--
Excited! We have plans to head to the beach with friends tomorrow and then my husband and I are heading to Maine this weekend and I just can not wait!

going-- We've been going on hikes almost daily! Though we had a few days with temps in the 90's that were just too hot to hike.

ordering-- All the things... seriously I feel like I need an intervention! I've been ordering all sorts of clothes, random things on Amazon like a waterproof Kindle holder and a new vacuum, I've ordered a few more Color Street nail sets, and even two bundles of clothes from Shein.

I liked this top so much from Shein that I ordered it in 2 colors!

realizing-- That this time next year I'll most likely have two boys that can drive and my youngest will be ready to start high school!

    1. It has been great; normally we have to stop hiking this time of year because of the heat but we have still been having cool days/ mornings a large chunk of the time.

  10. Cannot believe your youngest will be starting high school in a year. Good gravy!! Isn't it nice to have some help with the driving? I loved it when my oldest was able to take and pick up my youngest sometimes from extracurricular activities.

You should be heading out for your getaway with the hubs tomorrow, I think. Hope you have the best time. We are going to the beach with the fam and I am thrilled but PC and I need a getaway - just the two of us, too.

Would love to try making New England clam chowder. Have several recipes but have never tried it. Your dishes look scrumptious.

    1. We rarely make the same foods for Christmas; mixing it up each year but I have never thought of making anything with seafood for it.
