Typhoon Lagoon Scrapbooking Pages

Here are some recently scrapped pages of our Disney trip.

I have four different layouts for what really amounts to the same photos.... since I am crazy.  No seriously, I am.  Not only do I have individual scrapbooks for each of the boys but I also keep a family album so when we go on family vacation I often have to scrap each event, day, or activity four times.

That calls for four times the work and effort, four times the creativity and four times the supplies!

But I LOVE how the pages came out!

In keeping with the theme of Typhoon Lagoon everything looks tropical and "beachy" (I know that isn't even a real word but it completely describes what I mean!).  Hope you enjoy!

Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Tips for Falling Asleep and Staying Asleep with Share Our Lives

This month for Share Our lives we're looking at tips for falling asleep. Now, I rarely have any trouble at all falling asleep. I am and have been an "early to bed, early to rise" kind of person since long before I had kids. So if you're looking for a new bedtime routine don't look at me.  Most days, especially in winter when it's dark and cold out, I change into my pajamas and comfy clothes just before I start cooking dinner. In the spring and summer I typically don't change into comfy clothes until after 7 since we do go out and do things after dinner. But just the act of putting on comfy clothes gets me into a relaxation mode.  Then we watch TV or I a read a book for a few hours and I'm usually in bed by 9 the latest. I turn on the TV-- yes we have a TV in our room and yes I watch it to fall asleep. I know all the studies say this is awful but it's what works best for me. Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. What I Read in December & January and Share Your Shelf #10

Through this link up I've gotten lots of great ideas on what books to read next! Since I was gone for the whole second half of the month of December, I never got around to sharing what I read in December at last month's party. So this month I am sharing 2 whole months worth of books. Those I read in both December and January!  Combined I read/listened to over 20 books during this 2 month span! December: 1. James by Percival Everett- - I enjoyed the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn when I read it in high school so when I heard that this was a reimagining of the story told from the enslaved Jim's point of view I was intrigued. Gratitude and Highlights Each Day in January

Brr! January had some really cold days this year and those cold days feeling stuck inside made the month feel extra long. Luckily we had enough fun plans, puzzles, and good books to keep it interesting.  1. Thankful for a quiet, low-key day at home.  I got to work on some scrapbook pages today and ended our evening with a fire and some card games with my mother in law joining us. 4.014 steps.  2. So grateful to get all caught on my scrapbooking before the next batch of photos arrive!  Another fabulous day at home crafting and playing games with my sons and mother in law. 2,446 steps.  3. Evan, Alec and I had dentist appointments today and I am so thankful we all had no issues at all. I did find time for a quick walk before and while cold it was beautiful out. 8,154 steps.
