Craft De-Stash: Family Scrapbooking Pages

Today I am joining up with the lovely ladies for a craft de-stash! It's been a while since I participated in one but knew with all the scrapbooking things I've been creating this was the perfect blog hop to participate in!

Make sure to stop by and see what my co-hosts are up to too!

I was recently gifted boxes upon boxes of scrapbooking supplies which has re-kindled my love of scrapbooking.

The woman who passed on her supplies to me had quite a few scrapbooking kits and even some pre-made pages she gave me-- like these:

As you can see each kit comes with everything you need to make a two page scrapbook layout including embellishments, ribbons, and a template for the layout.

But I very rarely have a two page spread so I used each kit and then rearranged things to suit my style and my needs (saving whatever papers and embellishments I had leftover for another page somewhere down the line).

Here are the pages I made this month:

I pulled these large Hershey Kisses from a different Valentine themed page and knew they were just perfect for our park pages

This Halloween page was already put together as a two page spread so I pried up the title and rearranged everything I wanted onto one page. The title had been cut in two but I used some brads to make it look intentional (and I just LOVE it!)

This cake layout page came with pink paper for behind the photos so I swapped them out with other coordinating shades of brown to make it a bit more masculine and didn't use any of the pink balloons or stars either.

I pulled this two page spread apart and made two pages (one for each of the younger two boy's scrapbooks) and all I needed to do was whip up a quick title for the second page using my Cricut.

I pulled this two page truck display apart into two different pages also; again just whipping up the two titles and a mini excavator embellishment for one page using my Circuit.

In order to fit all my photos onto this one page I had to get rid of the large red words Tulips and so I had a bit of coordinating paper left and just cut it out of the Cricut myself keeping it small enough to fit across the stems of the flowers.

These somewhat pre-made pages saved me so much time; allowing me to complete half a years worth of scrapbook pages in just two days!... and I've barely made a dent in the supplies that were gifted to me.

  1. I absolutely love to scrapbook, in fact, I used to be a scrapbooking judge at our local fair. I would give them all blue ribbons! Sooo cute!

    1. Aw, thank you! I used to enter a lot of paintings and crafts in our local fair (at the time I don't think we had a scrapbooking category).

  2. The pages look great and how great that you were gifted boxes of scrapbooking items to use. I used to do some scrapbooking, but haven't done anything with it in years. I should do some for my grandchildren.

    1. I could not believe how much was gifted to me; she was moving and hadn't scrapbooked in years so she was thrilled to pass it on to someone who would use it. I was thrilled to receive so many truly useful and beautiful items. It absolutely motivated me to scrapbook more.
